The duties of the Table Builder are very fundamental to the operation of Manion Truss and Components. The duties of a Table Builder include, but are not limited to: knowing your job duties and what is expected of your job performance, using the proper techniques and PPE, ensuring accuracy of the truss being built, check the quality of material, be prepared for each job, and maintaining a clean workspace. The right person is focused, punctual, self-motivated, and positive.
Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Creates trusses from build sheets and monitors
- Lifts boards from cart to the table
- Places plates on trusses
- Uses hammer and tape measure
- Uses table press to set the plates onto the truss
- Keeps a clean and safe work environment
Responsibilities:
- Follows company rules and guidelines in regards to procedures and safety
- Reports to work on time each day and ready to produce product
- Ensures all tools and equipment are in good condition and ready for use by checking daily
Knowledge & Skills:
- Maintains the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ensures a quality product is being produced
- Understands of proper and safe lifting techniques and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
- Maintains familiarity with using power and hand tools
- Reads shop drawings and tape measure
Education and Experience:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Moderate-term on-the-job training
