The duties of the Table Builder are very fundamental to the operation of Manion Truss and Components. These duties ensuring accuracy of what is being pulled and cut, check the quality of material, be prepared for each job, and maintaining a clean workspace. The right person is focused, punctual, self-motivated, and positive.
Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Ensures that the saw is cutting accurately and running efficiently
- Ensures accuracy of the lumber being placed on the saw according to the order and build sheets
- Communicates with the catchers and pickers to ensure accuracy of the order
- Documents any repairs and report any inconsistencies to the maintenance department and manager for a scheduled repair
Responsibilities:
- Follows all company rules and guidelines in regards to procedures and safety
- Reports to work on time and ready to produce materials to the tables for building
- Checks daily that all of the equipment is in good condition and ready for use
- Understands the LOCK OUT/TAG/OUT procedure when cleaning and maintaining equipment
Knowledge & Skills:
- Works in an efficiently fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Understands proper lifting techniques
- Uses hand and power tools
- Reads shop drawings
Education and Experience:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Moderate-term on-the-job training
Starting wage: $18.00/hour
Location: Superior, WI
